Why Inner Healing?
In the interview with Steve, he said that as a follower of Christ he observed that there seemed to be two different groups.
One group who became Christian seemed to be strong. They practiced and moved forward in the Lord.
However, the other group although having received Christ, still struggled with major issues that they could not seem to get over. They were in a way emotionally handicapped and struggled to move forward.
“I received personal healing, and it so surprised me the difference, and the health that brought into my life emotionally, that I started pursuing it by, I believe, the Holy Spirit, to help others receive healing” – Steve
Why Create a Community
“As I was pursuing inner healing Nathan, the Lord spoke to me and said, I want you to start an inner healing community. I had never heard of that, anything even close to that” – Steve
God showed Steve that He wanted him to create a community that will do the following:
- That would be a safe place, where others are willing to walk with you through your difficulties, a place of belonging
- Releases inner healing
- Trains people to release inner healing
- Equips spiritual Mothers and Fathers to release inner healing to the wounded
“So we saw that part of the process of inner healing was to be a part of a community where you could feel safe, where you felt like you belonged.” – Steve
What is the God Encounters or Holy Fascination Process?
From his work in inner healing God showed Steve a different way to approach inner healing.
“By just simply asking the Holy Spirit, where do you want to take the individual today we are facilitating… and we learned to follow the Holy Spirit and help the person go where the Lord wanted to take them. And we found that out that could be various places, and so we would just simply follow as facilitators, but invariably at the end, whatever it was that God did, or whatever kind of healing He did, it did bring forth healing and in many cases… many cases breakthrough.” – Steve
Through following Holy Spirit, Steve and those trained in the God Encounters process have been able to help people get freedom. Some of the things addressed in the interview are stepping free of lies, unhealthy vows, sins snares they have become trapped in, and untangling past memories.
“Most of the time, lies are in the subconscious that are affecting the way a person looks at life, affects how they make their decisions and what decisions they make, how they react, or respond to life in a negative way” – Steve
Book 1: Holy Fascination
Holy Fascination explains this method of inner healing. It also introduces this method of seeing spiritually.
It introduces how to be a facilitator or in other words, how to stand with an individual, helping them with this method.
“They are also practicing seeing in the spirit, which we allude back to the scripture in Habakkuk 2:1 where Habakkuk said I will go to the wall and see. He’s talking about the intercessors wall. I will go to the wall of Jerusalem, I will get upon that, and we will see what the Lord will say to us, and write that down.” – Steve
Book 2: Deep Healing
Deep Healing explains what to do and what to look for when facilitating others using this method. Lies, vows, the demonic, and unforgiveness are a few of the items addressed in this book.
“It helps you navigate through inner healing, when it goes to a deep place in someone’s soul. ” – Steve
Book 3: Holy Imagination
The third book, Holy Imagination brings a lot of scriptural references into how imagination is used. It lays a foundation for a God centered imagination referred to as holy imagination.
“So imagination is not bad, imagination is given by God. It depends upon how we use it. If we use it in the Holy Spirit, then it’s absolutely wonderful.” – Steve
